June Phyllis Barnard 96, formerly of Muscatine died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Hillcrest Home in Sumner Iowa. She was born on November 26, 1918 in Muscatine, the only child of George and Bessie Dealing Holliday.
June was married to Robert M. Barnard on May 29, 1941. She was a superb secretary for several companies during her life. She was also an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Fremont Ohio, as well as several other churches as they moved around the country in their later years.
June lived an incredibly full life. During WW2, when her husband Robert was serving in Europe, she worked for the McKee Button Company in Muscatine. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
